During our stay in Taiwan, Dr. Gibson wishes to review medical surveillance data on VCM workers, solvent workers, mercury workers, etc. I wish to concentrate my effort in surveying Toufen factory for VCM, Solvents (benzene in particular), dusts of lead, cadmium, barium and dyes, and mercury vapors. I would like to review with Ed Lu the progress of CGPC's industrial hygiene monitoring program, and engineering control measures. If possible, I would also like to have a chance to talk to Mr. Bill Bonnell about industrial hygiene matters related to Asia Polymer Corporation's Polyethylene Plant. If possible, I would like to get these instruments while I am in Pittsburgh on October 5. 1) OVA with chromatograph column and recorder, calibrated for use for measurement of both benzene and vinyl chloride. Extra supply of hydrogen fuel. 2) GCA dust monitor (for CGPC lead dusts, etc.) 3) 5 Du Pont pumps (received) 4) 5 Bendix pumps (will bring to Harmarville for service) 5) 150 charcoal tubes (small), 50 charcoal tubes (large) 6) 50 millipore 0.8/i filter cassettes (weighed) 7) 5 charcoal tube holders 8) Mercury Measure Apparatus - can you provide reagents and equipment for measuring mercury vapor, CGPC has a battery operated mercury detector, but no way to check instrument accuracy. 9) Rubber tubings, labels, field survey sheets, plastic bottles, etc. RTC:ldc R.
