Questionnaire Belled to 61 individuals in ittU, city and regional govenBsnt occupational baaltta srtglnlstration. Respondents totaled $4, Including 39 from etate organisations; 3 froa county organisations; 11 from city organisations; and ana froa Puerto Rico.
Thirty-seven respoodenta reported utilising blood testing, a Majority ad hering to the standard of 80of lead per 100 grans of blood*
Forty-two reoorted uslrur urine testing, a majority adhering to a standard ranging between l>0/ug and 2uu^ig of load per later ox unae.
Respondanta indicating use of neither blood nor urine oonsleted almost totally of those depending on other associated departments or labs to supply or carry out such testing or who indicated no need for lead tartly (a.g, Wyoming, Idaho). Uhile other test criteria are coplcyed, no respondents lndicstsd their use to the exclusion of blood, urine, or both. Such other criteria include: urinary porphyrins - 7 respondent!, basophilic stippling - 4 respondents.
Respondents parenthetically indicating uss of air samplings to detsndno load contact nuabered 19, Only oca reported that it analysed paint for load oontsnt.
Seventeen respondents indicated that no uss is asd* of thsir findings la eoopensation cases. Tan respondents indicated that their findings are used, though they are not necessarily binding, and nay be used in a supporting basis in relation to other nodical erideacs. Twelve respondents reported that their findings are not intended for uss in eoopensation cases, but may be used under certain drcuostaacss.
