For a number of these vegetable gardens, RIVM advises to alternate eating crops with fruit and vegetables from the supermarket. RIVM advises not to eat crops from vegetable gardens that are less than 1 kilometer northeast of the chemical company. By eating these crops, people get so much Pfas (Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances)within which health effects cannot be excluded.
