Andy, Just checking back on this request. Let me know what might be possible and if any of the dates I suggested would work. Gabe

Andy,
I wanted to extend my heartiest congratulations on your confirmation and wish you the best in your important work. I am certain we will have opportunities to work together on several issues going forward.
One such opportunity is a meeting I hope you can take with my client, Alan McKim the Chairman, President and CEO of Clean Harbors, the largest environmental services company in the U.S. Clean Harbors, as you know has been a partner in some of the highest profile environmental remediation projects in the U.S. from the cleanup of Boston Harbor to the Gulf Oil spill. Alan is the founder of the company and his bio can be found here. He can be in DC on May 30th or 31st or on June 13th. I think you know some of the people at the company, including Phil Retallick who served as the Environmental Secretary for Delaware when Mike Castle was Governor. Phil and other senior leaders of the company would be accompanying Mr. McKim.
We hope to cover a range of issues related to their work on environmental cleanup and recycling. One topic would be their support for bipartisan, bicameral legislation which has already passed in the House (HR 1733) calling for a DOE/EPA restudy of recycling opportunities for used motor oil and the development of policy options to encourage more collection and reuse. An identical bill has also been introduced in the Senate (S. 1089). An earlier study found significant energy and environmental benefits from recycling this valuable resource but failed to lay out any significant policy options. We hope to update the study and to discuss options for doing more.
Please let me know if you have time to meet on any of those days.
Gabe
