Leisy - 1740 Confirming various conversations, we are committed to Dow to provide approximately 1,000 gallons of monochlorobiphenyl to Dow at Midland. Distillation at Dayton is scheduled for the week of 7/23. Packing is to be 10 x 5 gallon cans with the balance in 55 gallon drums. The entire quantity is to be shipped to Midland at one time. Any odd piece drum should come to St. Louis. Here are some of the things we must get done: (1) Environmental/liability clearance: Research will process the EC-201 prior to shipment. Howard Bergen will clear with Mr. Cunningham. (2) Crude supply: Jim Grant to handle making and drumming off. Dario Cova to specify chlorination level (9$-?) and amount needed. (3) Composition: To be per MCS 1547 spec. (C. Paton, please supply.) Dayton will distill off in 1-drum increments. Each drum to be analyzed and decision then made as to which drums are to be composited. Questions: Can Dayton do the analysis for mono isomers, dichloros, etc.?
