GYPSUM ASSOCIATION SAFETY BULLETIN A. The chairsan requested chat the secretary relate the member company response for safety articles to be used in'the Bull tin. Following a brief discussion by the committee, it was their recoaendation that each member company stimulate employee partici pation by urging the plant employees to write and submit safety ?a articles to the Association. *j TJ 2. The co s i t t e e reviewed the Bulletin forsat and the consensus that it was satisfactory in its present form. One member suggested that a possible change be considered when the nex Bulletin cast head is -printed. The secretary indicated that prese Bulletin stock supply would be depleted at the end of the fiscal y and at Chat tint, committee suggestions would be solicited. The committee requested that the secretary construct a chart showing the industry frequency racing over the pest four yea as related to the all industry frequency rating reported by the National Safety Council, and print this chart in the Safety Bullet The secretary Indicated that such a chart was- already being consld for the October issue.. He informed the coricete tha the award cost the Association $10.00 to purchase and sail, and re quested that they eight consider adopting an award that eight have greater utility for the winner, such as an ash tray or pen sc:. I eomtitcee, after such discussion, directed the secretary to obtain less costly certificate and also purchase an ash tray for the awar winners. Following a thorough review of the last three editions o the Safety Bulletin, the committee selected one article by ballot. The article "Did You Bet Your Life?" by Val Robertson, Assistant P: duceion Superintendent, The Flintkote Company, Blue Diamond Gypsur. Division, Fremont, California (August 1967) wen the award. lir.
