Smith stated that the Quebec Asbestos Producers Association had a committee charged with the duty cf keeping in touch with the situation in regerd tc silicosis. Two of the asbestos companies had covered their employees by a group life insurance policy with the Metropolitan. The question of literature on silicosis was discussed at some length. Dr. Wilson stated that he maintained a card index cf recent literature. It was also understood that the Quebec Asbostos Producors Association was doing the same. Hr. Dufrcsne felt that this was a very contro versial question. It was impossible to differentiate between fibrosis and asbestosis. He also urged that the National Research Council keep in touch with tho situation and folt that the committee should bring the matter to the attention of the Council. It was elso suggested that he should consult with Dr. Wilson in the netter in view of the fact that the Mines Branch had accumulated considerable information cn the subject.
