OSHA Progress Report - March, 1983
1. Summaries of personnel and area monitoring conducted during the month are presented in the attached tables and figures.
2. Geon East has made excellent progress in reducing the number of lights in B/464. Personnel exposures are also dropping. The efforts of the foremen and operators to minimize and correct leaks are clearly "paying off."
3. To ensure that respirators are worn when the potential for VCK exposure exceeds 1 ppm, Geon East has put up signs reminding employees to wear respirators when opening key pieces of equipment.
4. Geon West installed a new vent system on the No. 5 spray dryer bagger which has greatly reduced dusting and essentially eliminated clogging problems in the vent ductwork.
