February 19, 1983 COMPANY NEWS COMPANY NEWS; Cyanamid to Close Facility in Jersey The American Cyanamid Company announced that its Shulton Inc. U.S.A. subsidiary would phase out operations at its Mays Landing, N.J., manufacturing and distribution facility over the next several months, then close the plant entirely. About 200 employees will be affected. Cyanamid said the plant, which manufactures fragrances and toiletries, is being closed because of changing manufacturing and distribution requirements in its Consumer Products Group. A meeting has been set with the Glass, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union, which discuss the effects of the closing, Cyanamid said.
