tary reported a growing interest on the part of prepared paint companies to manufacture pure whit* lead paint In colors. One of then reported evellent progress. Two circulars issued by the Hooker Olass a Paint Hamifaeturing Company advertising their ready-mixed pure white lead paint and which criticised paste white lead were discussed end the Secretary reported that he had recently talked with the Hooker Company about the circulars and they had promised to modify future statements to Beet our views, and that they intended no reflection on paste.

Vlaek, cf Iowa ftate College, had pub lished a booklet on painting on the faro, Circular PP1, en titled i "Selecting end Applying Pairts" which Included a strong white lend story. The Association had purchased 10,010 copies of this booklet for PfOO, which are being distri buted from Aces, Ic*wa, where the University is located, to all county agents and o t v fare loan Institutions and other key ;rr:.r.lx*tl,"r.r. r.d individuals in the faro maintenance field throughout the United States. He are paying the Balling charges for this distribution.
The Secretary also reported a recent visit to the As sociation's office by Tr. T. L. Browne of the V. f. forest Products Labor-tory, w*-o appeared evn more favorably in clined towrrd w*-lfe le*d than in the past and who lnfcnsed us that he had teen working with numerous fare cooperatives in meeting their paint problems. He s-.ld h would be glad to help us in that field.
The Secretary reported that Ton Crltehfleld was devot ing most of his time now to work with fans leaders and far* orr*nl*tlons. A trial painting project had b-n started with Iowa 4-H Clubs, which are important key organ!rations for young farmers, and that this would probably spread to other states.
