Patrick, I apologize for the delayed response to your email. We just conducted our annual Safety Conference yesterday, and I was busy preparing for it. The Utah Mining Association would be pleased to participate in the type of forum you outlined. In answer to your questions: I am the appropriate UMA staff contact to coordinate our participation. Our membership will be gathering in August for our Annual Convention. The convention runs August 14-16, but the afternoon of Tuesday, August 14 would be the prime opportunity. Participants should include the environmental professionals for our member companies. Our Environment Committee is made up of said professionals, and the committee typically plans a "short course" on Tuesday afternoon of our Annual Convention week. We could plan that this year around your forum and hold it on August 14. Thanks for reaching out. I look forward to continuing the discussion. Regards, Mark Sierra Club v. Forum goals include fostering a better understanding among EPA personnel of industry business models and best practices in environmental protection, and providing an opportunity for industry participants to learn about EPA's regulatory processes. Region 8 Smart Sectors is partnering with trade associations and industries that represent the engine of the Region's economy and provide significant opportunities for environmental impact.
