A meeting of the Board of Directors was held at the Bankers Club, New York City, on Wednesday, February 20, 1923 at 1:00 P. M.

The Chairman suggested that the dates of the annual meeting and regular quarterly meetings of the Board of Directors be changed inasmuch as the time for these'meetings as provided* in the By-Laws

Had been found to be inopportune for some members.
Moved and seconded that the first sentence of
Section I. of Article II. of the By-Laws be changed to
read as follows:
A regular meeting of the members shall be held annually on the fourth Wednesday in February of each year for the purpose of electing directors and for such other business as shall be placed before the meeting.
Motion carried.
Moved and seconded that the first sentence of
Section III. of Article III. of the By-Laws be changed
to read as follov/s:
Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held quarterly on the fourth Wednes day of February, May, August and November of each year.
The Chairman next introduced the question of the
Tariff and it was
Moved and seconded that the Secretary be
instructed to do all he can to procure a liberalization
of the present tariff law which would permit lead
manufacturers to'make effective use of the drawback by
allowing manufacturers to transfer the drawback privilege
from foreign lead to an equivalent amount of domestic
lead, and that the Secretary be authorized to spend
One thousand dollars ($1000.00), in special assistance in this- matter.
Motion carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
