Mandy -- We are reaching out on behalf of Neste US, Inc. ("Neste") regarding an issue it has been seeking to resolve since 2013 with the EPA. This issue involves RIN generation under the RFS program on renewable fuel produced from wastes associated with the production of food grade palm oil. We have attached a detailed one-page summary of the palm waste issue as well as a letter that we have sent today to Directors Grundler and Byron Bunker in this regard that contains further detail and legal analysis.
Since Neste has been dealing with this issue for several years now without resolution, it is requesting an expeditious resolution. We are hoping that the attached can open the lines of communication with your team. We would be pleased to discuss further.
Best regards - Susan
