This is advance notice of the annual meetings of LIA and ZI listed above. schedule and description of the general nature of these meetings are indicated below:
Monday morning
-- LIA's opening session will include reports on lead for cable sheathing, sound attenuation, developments in lead-acid battery technology, plus discussions of other of lead's many uses.
Monday afternoon -- This LIA session will include a report on modern soldering tech niques, lead research underway by ILZRO, the Treasurer's report and reports by the staff.
Tuesday morning
-- Joint LIA-ZI. Activities of the secondary lead and zinc industry, technical service programs of the brass industry and the Zinc and Lead International Service (ZALIS) will be discussed.
Tuesday afternoon -- The ZI business and general session will include staff reports from ZI and ILZRO, the current status of the zinc plastic situation, and tne die casting industry's reaction to the plastic threat.
Wednesday morning -- This session, joint with The Galvanizers Committee, well include a report on zinc in the automotive industry, the higr.way safety program and a report on American Iron and Steel Institute's market development activity in residential construction.
IMPORTANT: If you plan to attend, FILL IN the enclosed hotel reservation card and MAIL IT PROMPTLY to The Drake Hotel. If you make your reserva tion with the hotel by means other than the hotel card, be sure to mention that you sire attending the LIA or ZI meetings.
