Philadelphia, Pa April 10, 1959. At a regular meeting of the Directors of John T. Lewis & Bros. Company held this day in their offices in the Widener Building, there were presents Edward F. Beale, President S. French Reeves, Fine President and Treasurer J, V. Gardiner, Vice President Morris H. Merritt, Secretary Leonard T Beale, Director The meeting was called to order by Mr. Edward F Beale, who presided, and Mr. Morris E. Merritt reported the minutes of the meeting. Mr. Reeves reported that during the month of March, 1939 our factory handled in and out of the plant approximately 10,500 tons of material, or 236 carloads. At Mr* Gardiner*s suggestion it was decided as an experiment to try having buffet suppers served after a few of our painters meetings instead of having dinner served beforehand, as heretofore. This will mean a saving of probably 50? per meal and is in line with our effort to cut down the expenses of the painting promotion department. Mr. Gardiner reported that paint complaints during the first three months of this year have only cost us 146.20. Mr, Gardiner submitted the regular weekly report of shipments.
