New Product Formulas A product request will be made by Industrial Sales (Tom Ravins) and the necessary development work will be undertaken at Blue Rapids (George Fowler) or by Tigard, if necessary. As soon as the formula is successfully tested, it will be submitted by Blue Rapids along with raw material and finished product specifications to General Manufacturing (J. Van) for cost analysis. Van will furnish the cost estimate to Industrial Sales (Tom Ravins) who will then forward it to Tigard (Joe Watt). Manufacturing approval (Bill Richards) will be necessary before the formula is issued b" Tigard (Joe Watt). Tom Ravins will revise the new product request form which will be used to implement the procedure we agreed on. Field Test Samples Samples for testing or field trial of new products should be charged to 010-8489-7891, R & D 25. Copies of reports from field trials should be submitted to Industrial Sales with copies to Manufacturing and R & D. SGP 0015880 2- Formula Cancellations Blue Rapids will submit formulas for cancellation to Industrial Sales. Tom Ravins will make the final determination and advise Tigard as to which formulas may be removed from the book. Naphalene Sulfonate We have agreed to undertake an evaluation program of as many agents and systems for reducing consistency as we can think of including naphalene sulfonate. We will establish a new R & D project for this and technical reports will be written covering the results and conclusions. This will provide a basis for later determining whether any of our industrial formulas can be altered through the use of naphalene sulfonate or any of the other low consistency components.
