Atmospheric samples were collected using the small impinger. These were analyzed microscopically. Samples were collected at the nose level of the operator and at a distance of six feet from the operator. The three materials used were applied with a water rata of between 10 and 11 pounds per minute and the feed rate of 11.5-11.7 pounds per minute. The results of dust samples are as follows. Spray operators so employed should wear respiratory protective equipment at all times. All samples collected exceeded the threshold limit dust count of 5 million particles par cubic foot of air.
