The following is the report of the X-Ray examination of Ancel Wheeler: Bate X-Rays 4-16-51 Chest Findings I Stereoscopic posteroanterior and right lateral views of the chest with an additional posteroanterior vievf. The thoracic cage is extremely large due to the marked obesity of the patient. Trachea in the midline. The heart is essentially normal in size, shape and position. The diaphragms are clear and normal in position and contour. Moderate fibrous-like density through out the mesial portion of the right lower lung field which in the lateral view appears to involve the posterior segment of the right lower lobe. The left lower lung field shows slightly in creased markings without definite peritruncal involvement. The periphery and apices of the lungs are clear. The interlobar septa are sharply outlined and normal in position in the lateral view. Summary: The clinical history is of paramount im portance in this case. The roentgen findings fairly well localized to the right lower lung fiel& are compatible with an occupational disease, especially asbcstosia.
