Every day the Air Quality Index (AQI) found on the AirNow website tells you how clean or polluted your outdoor air is, along with associated health effects that may be of concern. The AQI translates air quality data into numbers and colors that help people understand when to take action to protect their health. In addition to current data, the AirNow website compiles archival data, which is organized by city/region. AirNow also contains a comparison tool called AirCompare, (http://www3.epa.gov/aircompare/) that might help you make your decision.
