Les Macklin- Interested in a "safe" asbestos for fire retardant insulating spray. Have replaced asbestos in their product and are "getting by" with their new spray. Originally felt that our "Caiidria" products were different enough from the Canadian grade 7 that they had used to make it exempt from the present OSHA regulations. Have since found out that this is not the case and have dropped their program to test our materials. No other interest in "Caiidria" at this time. They purchase about 100M lbs. per year of Polyox from UCC which contains 3 l/2$ Cabosil. However, because the amount of Cabosil used is so small they do not consider it worthwhile evaluating other products. Suggested I talk to Joe Cunniff who might have an interest in RG-244. 2. Joe Cunniff- Some Cabosil used by D & A, especially in their vinyl plastisols. Unable to get a figure from Joe on their consumption but it is apparently enough to make him interested in RG-241+. Requested complete literature and price schedule, but no samples, which he will relay to his technical people. ACTION . Send requested literature to Joe. Will try to get appointment with their technical people as soon as possible.
