Sanborn visited the Perdure Petroleum, LLC oil and gas facility located at latitude 36.793938 and longitude -96.737802 near Shidler, Oklahoma on 02/14/2019 for an unannounced inspection. No representative of Perdure Petroleum, LLC was present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION The inspection consisted of a facility in the North Burbank Unit (NBU), NBU 51 site, where previous discharges of produced water had occurred. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed runoff from the previous spill site seeping to the nearby creek and a temporary dirt dam had been built next to creek as well. I observed that the treated soil was in place. With a calibrated YSI Pro 30 Conductivity Meter, I took a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) reading of the fluids on the Hill side and observed a range between 12,000 mg/L to 23,000 mg/L TDS readings along the runoff flow towards the creek. The nearby creek reading was 1,050 mg/L TDS. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN There are still concerns of elevated TDS levels during rainfall events from runoff from the previous spill site, as observed during this inspection.
