Dear Hr, Moffat s Tour letter of October 19th to Mr. R. A. Richards
of the Detroit office of our Bakellte Company, has been referred to us.
On the basis of such Information as we have on the physiological effects of the components of VO-1916, and from the experience available in Its use In the manufacture of intravenous tubing, we believe It to be qultfe suitable for such use. Ve have sold many thousands of pounds of this compound for Intravenous tubing. Prior to this, the PftDA had advised that it would have no objection to the use of such a vinyl resin formulation In the manufacture of tubing for administering Intravenous fluids and blood because of the Insolubility of the components In physiological fluids.
Very truly yours.
