Vessel arrived at Newport News Shipyard on 5/25/77 to commence shipyard repairs, dry docking, USCG Inspection for Certification, ABS Special Survey and West Coast Modifi cations. Vessel sailed 6/18/77. Repairs and all other worlc was performed as per shipyard specs (enclosure #1) with the following comments: Item Numbers 1-5 All OK 6 Vessel in drydock 1 haul day and 8 lay days as per enclosure #2. 7-8 All OK 9 Hull rusted and pitted undemater. Heavy sand sweep and two coats of coal tar epoxy applied in addition to other paint schedule. 10 Six out of ^Eight capac anodes found not working on drydock, all repaired, anode in #6P disconnected due to change of service of 6P into fuel oil tank, anode to be relocated next drydocking into segregated ballast tank. 11 All sea valves examined and repaired as necessary. 12 All clapper valves examined and repaired as necessary. 13-14 Renewed outer Waukesha seal ring assembly and after liner. Final readings: Top - 110.5 mm.
