Scales .ethyl Corporation 1600 West Eight Mile Road Ferndale, Detroit, Michigan 48220 Dear Dick: This letter is prompted by the fact that I came upon a nearly lull, somewhat a-ijefl, can of Ethyl Fluid at one of Cincinnati's service stations, a few days ago. The can is of the type now used to send Ethyl Antiknock Compound to laboratories that have need and justification for being supplied, how it pot to this man, the boss of this station, is a strange matter which need not be reported, but I took the can over, at the request of the present owner, who was at a loss to know how to use it. I have had the can enclosed in a welded can ana I want to send it to you, or to someone in the Corporation, who will deal properly with it. I would appreciate it greatly if you would advise me of the manner of its further preparation for shipment (according to standard procedure) and of hew (I presume by express) it is to be shipped, and to whom. V.'e could, of course, uostroy it, but it seems wise to send it to the proper person for its proper use (after examination and reworking), or for its disposal. I had thought that we were through with this manner of handling this urouuct at service stations year3 ago. Chades of 1925! I haven't encountered such a problem for forty years, and I was both sorry and glad (for different reasons, of course) to be sought out for advice by the operator of this service station.
