INos. 2812 and 2813 are semi-liquid and should be thinned for first coat by the addi tion of 3 gallons of pure boiled linseed oil to each gallon of paint. For second and third coats with from 1H to 2 gallons pure boiled linseed oil to each gallon.
We recommend for first coat the addition of about H pint of pure spirits turpentine to the paints as thinned above. When one coat only is required, omit the turpentine. The economy in the use of these goods can readily be seen, and for durability and beauty of finish they cahnot be excelled.

RED LEAD COLOR
Put up in 1 and 5-gallon cans and barrels
Made on a red lead base to meet the demand for goods of this character. It is our opinion that, though confessedly a substitute for red lead, it does unquestionably give better results, as it has not so high an oxidizing power. It has greater spreading power than red lead alone because it is of lighter specific gravity and of equal, if not greater opacity. The lighter specific gravity prevents the rapid settling and harden ing in the can and counteracts the tendency to erawl and run, as in red lead.

ration with the oiL
