Julius - label correction file Julius Nemeth Jeanette Garner October 3, 1972 PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT BOND-107 .c- Dear Jeanette: We are currently reviewing paper labels here on Aluminum Coating in particular in addition to those which I asked Elba to send, which Dou^threw out and which 1 understand we're now accumulating again. The labels on all products containing asbestos fiber should read as follows: CONTAINS ASBESTOS FIBER. DO NOT SPRAY IN LOCALITIES WHERE ASBESTOS-CONTAINING COATINGS ARE PROHIBITED. We are also adding the flammable-warning paragraph because some of the asphalt we get has a flash point of around 80 to 90 degrees F. and we're changing our instructions to say that if applied in rainy weather the product will give "unsatisfactory results" rather than "unsatisfactory appearance". We're going over the paper labels here, but I'd like to have one each empty lithographed cans for our Bondex red label Aluminum Coating and the Bondex blue label Mobile Home Coating cans sent up to my attention please for similar review and a note on your records please not to re-order these litho cans until we have had a chance to review any possible copy changes. This brings up the question, however, and I believe Doug and I discussed this just briefly over the phone a while ago, the fact that even our asbestos-containing powder products should have some reference regarding the asbestos fiber on the bags. Please bring me up to date as to whether anything has been done in those regards and, if so, what the wording is. Thanks. Cordially yours. JKN/pad P. S.
