Goodrich Company Akron, Ohio Dear Dr. McCormick: This refers to your letter of"January 7 concerning the list of materials appearing in the October 1956 issue of the Quarterly Bulletin of the Association of Food & Drug Officials which are acceptable to the Food and Drug Administration for certain specified food packaging purposes. Under the proper conditions of manufacture and use, the various resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, dryers, drying oils, colors and. release agents and antioxidants listed in Dr. Lehman's article are acceptable to this Branch. The use of antlmycotlcs. Insect repellents or rodent repellents on meat food product or in packaging material for meat food product has not been permitted in federally inspected meat packing establishments.
