Under the system used until this week, the specific causes for VCM exposures identified by dosimetry have not always been identifiable. In most cases, it appears that overexposed individuals have had difficulty recalling probable causes several days after the fact. Starting this week, we are trying a new system, which requires the recording of probable causes by the person being monitored, and during each sample taken. It is anticipated that this method will give more useful information that can be used to pinpoint and eliminate causes of overexposures. j. V.
