LaRoche, M.D. - Western Electric Future Meeting: August 28, 1979 - Basking Ridge, N.J. - 9:00 AM ASBESTOS GUIDELINES Mr. Beach and Mr. Wilkening distributed draft copies of the majority of the sections of the Proposed Asbestos Guidelines. The members were requested to review the drafts and submit comments by August 17 in order to prepare changes for the next meeting of the OHWG. Drafts for the remaining sections, Engineering Controls and Employee Training, should be ready by the next meeting as well. EMPLOYEE EXPOSURE RECORDKEEPING SYSTEMS Mr. Lauritxen reported on the meeting of the recordkeeping subgroup appointed at the June 6 meeting. At the first meeting, the major emphasis was placed on examining the merits and shortcomings of existing systems currently in use within Western Electric or available from other corporations. Within this context, the subgroups prepared a general overview of the existing systems and their parameters. As a means of comparing the various systems, a matrix was prepared which compared the systems on the basis of input parameters and output parameters (attached). The list of outputs is not a definition of required outputs', but rather a so-called "wish list" prepared at a meeting of Western Electric Industrial Hygienists. 000&8
