SERIES 50 FORWARD CURVE BLOWER WHEELS
5 Ways Better than currently available blowers:
1. Up to 15% better performance characteristics. 2. Complete electric welded construction (at no extra charge) insures no loose blades to amplify motor noises. Electric welding guarantees sturdier, more uniform and precise blade alignment. 3. Available with solid or resilient mounted hubs. 4. Designed for your requirements to fit your equipment 5. Quieter operation achieved through meticulous aerodynamic design.
6-BlADC ONE-P1ECC FANS in a wide range of sizes from 6 in. diameter 4-blade to 14 in. diameter 6-blade. Some models with slinger rings for room air condi tioner application. Manufactured of aluminum o> steel.
AUTOMOTIVE TYPE: Heavy-duty, both single and doable spider types, in both steel and alnminom blades. A wide range of sizes from 10 in. diameter through 85 in. diameter. Available in 4, 5, 6 and 8-blade de signs. Suitable for use on gnlin*_ or diesel engines tM cooling tower applications.
FAN BLADES: Slinger-type for air conditioning or offset spider and conventional propeller type fans for ventilating and other applications. All engineered ex actly to your specifications free of charge. Slinger rings are all one-piece die drawn. Research and laboratory
farnitie* available to solve air moving problems on your product.
SIX BLADE: One-piece or fabricated construction in a wide range of diameters, any pitch, in aluminum or steeL Cives efficient air movement against higher static pressures. Solid or resilient hub. Also available in three and four blade.
OFFSET TYPE: Gives nmimnin space-saving features by bringing blade around the motor. Brookside's ad vanced design blades give higher efficiency and may be made reversible.
SLINGER BLADE: Solid die-drawn slinger rings, with the tabs a part of the blade, operate at low sound level and high efficiency. Designed especially for air con ditioning and refrigeration industry.

flexible air duct for air conditioning systems
Wiremold Air Duct is widely used as a connector or branch duct on the supply side of central air conditioning systems--high, medium and low velocity.
Its strong construction--the fabric and flat metal spiral are interlocked me chanically--is the key to the duct's long life and outstanding performance. De signed for maximum flexibility with minimum friction loss, Wiremold Air Duct plan dampens mechanical vibration.
first to meet amended nfpa and nbfu standards
Wiremold Type 54 duct was developed to provide the maximum in fire protection and the highest safety standards. The duct has exceptional flam* resistance as well as the ability to contain flame, thus preventing a fire from spreading. 1-taed by Underwriters' Laboratories under Label Service, Type 54 is the first flexible duct to comply with amended NFPA and NBFU Standards, described below.
AMENDED STANDARDS* EXPAND USE OF FLEXIBLE DUCTS IN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
Broadened applications for flexible doct connectors in nonreaidential air condition ing systems result from amendments to tho standards of the National Fire Protection Association and the National Board of Fire Underwriters*. At the same time, the fire-safety provisions of these standards have been tightened--and extended to cover all flexible connectors.
The changes are as follows:
Ducts with flame spread*rating of not over 25, without evidence of continued progressive combustion, and smoke de
veloped rating of not over 50 may be used: (l),in'srzes over 8* ID (the 8* ID mnximnm has been lifted) and, (2) through floors, provided they are not over 20 square indies in cross sec tion (approximately 5* ID).
Type 54 listed
First to comply with the new ratings, Type 54 material is listed by Underwriters' Lab oratories as a chloreprene rubber costed fabric of glass fibers which is locked into a cold-rolled steel spiral. Its fire-hazard
classification, under Building Units, lists Type 54 (on Guide Card No. 40 U8.4) as follows:
Test FLAME SPREAD: FUEL CONTRIBUTED: SMOKE DEVELOPED:

* June, 1962 amendments to the June, 1960 Standard of the National Board of Fire Underwriters, for the installation of air conditioning and ventilating systems of other than residence type, NBFU No. 90A, paragraph 113(a). With these amendments, the text is the same as that copyrighted by the National Fire Protec tion Association and published in NFTA No. 90A, May, 1962.
4 DUCTS FOR AIR CONDITIONING
TYPE 54: For use everywhere (including N.Y.C and Chicago). All sizes meet NBFU requirements.
TYPE 57: For use everywhere except N.Y.C and Chicago. Sizes through 8' ID meet NBFU requirements (except for through floor use).
TYPE 52: Approved for New York City.
TYPE 6W: Meets local requirements except N.Y.C and Chicago.
7 major uses in air conditioning systems
1. To connect perimeter under-window units to supply ducts.
2. To connect branch doct to nailing out let Duct and diffuser easily relocated.
3. To connect attenuation box to outlets in modular filing '
4. To connect branch duct to attenuation box on high pressure side.
5. Connections to combination lighting and air distribution units.
6. Vertical take-off from supply doct to ceiling pan-type outlet, to compensate for
7. As an elbow--90*, 45*, or any angle.
