Taylor,
Adding Hannah to check on this and get back to you. One thing that I'll just say at the outset though is if this is waiting on an Army-Corps permit as Sherry's email indicates then that'll be separate and apart from DOT review.
Best,
Ryan

Hey! Forwarding this to you.
Huge project that was awarded back in 2022. Funds not cleared, but told they are being reviewed and if they will move forward?
This is a huge priority for the Congresswoman.

Taylor and Alex:
Arthur Kill Terminal is asking if you would reach out to Secretary Duffy's COS on this and let them know that this is a priority for Rep. Malliotakis' district. I attached above the boss' press release from 10/22 regarding the grant. Big money for Staten Island.
Sherry-- good afternoon. Wanted to pass along an important update. We were notified by MARAD that they will be meeting with the Office of the Secretary of Transportation next week to review the $48 million MARAD PIDP grant for Arthur Kill Terminal and decide whether to move forward with it. It was awarded in 2022, but receipt of the funds is still pending completion of the NEPA process. As you know that process is delayed due to the pause on the projects Army-Corps permit.
We would greatly appreciate outreach from the Congresswoman and her office to the Office of the Secretary of Transportation to reinforce that this grant is a priority for her. We would recommend reaching out to Charles ("Pete") Meachum, the Secretary's Chief of Staff at Charles.meachum@dot.nov or (b)(6)
