~ Plant Manager - Pereconel Manager
Purpose of Trip
1. To review procedure for further medical evaluation of individuals suspected of having sabestosis
Identification and Davironmental History
Mr. Hank Janecak and syself reviewed the plant environmental ~
history of individuals suspected of having asbestosis based on
the ray reports from Dr. George Wright as well as those
individuals whose ray films were read as compatible with
asbestosis by the local radiologist This list which also out-
lines the environmental exposure histories is being forwarded only
to Dr. McNeely and Mr. Janecek Of the twenty sen so identified
four have been laid off Of these four three have histories of
prolonged asbestos exposure One of the individuals had the ray
changes when he was employed in 1969 and they have not changed to
the present
, .
One individual on this list needs only to have his ray repeated since the ray was technically poor
Therefore there are sixteen individuals who need further evaluation
Finally by a local internist with expertise in chest diseases
there were four individuals whose evaluations were done after the
initial plant examinations had been completed Dr. McNeely will make the determination regarding additional work for these men based on his physical examination and the reading of the local radiologist
