Klerstead October 26, 1982 8-Hour Area TWA VC1 Data Taken from Bendix Tapes Summary for September, 1982 This report is a summary of 1,521 samples of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) 8-hour area data, taken from the Bendix Continuous monitoring tapes, for the month of September, 1982. A. Non-Regulated Areas (Tables I & II) 1. Two hundred sixty five (265) samples (91.4%) were below .5 ppm VCM, 16 samples (5.5%) were from .51 to 1.0 ppm, and 9 samples (3.1%) were over 1.0 ppm. This was a significant increase from the 0.5% over 1.0 ppm in August. 2. The overall plant average for non-regulated areas increased from .18 to .28 ppm. B. Regulated Areas (Tables III and IV) 1. Two hundred ninety-four (294) samples (26.4%) were below .5 ppm, 51 samples (4.6%) were from .51 to 1.0 ppm and 769 samples (69.0%) were over 1,0 ppm. This was a significant increase from the 63.8% over 1.0 ppm in August. 2. The Monomer area decreased from .4 to .3 ppm, upstairs Polymer remained at 5.5 ppm. Polymer walkway Increased from 3.7 to 8.0 ppm, and downstairs Polymer increased from 10.1 to 14,1 ppm. C. The overall plant average of regulated and non-regulated areas Increased from 3.99 to 5.25 ppm. E. S.
