AR226-3052 DuPont HLR &40-96 Local Lymph Node Assay Screen with H21951 The Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA) screen with H219S1 was conducted in female CBA/JHsd mice. Experimental details of the study are located in laboratory notebook E87092. The test substance was prepared in dimethyisulfoxide (DMSO) and administered topically to the dorsum of both ears of mice (6 per group) at dosages of 0% (DMSO vehicle), 1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, and 50%. An additional group of 6 female mice was dosed with 25% hexylcinnamaldehyde (HCA) as a positive control. No statistically significant differences in the mean body weights or mean body weight gains were observed at any concentration. All cell proliferation measurements at all concentrations o f the test substance produced no statistically significant differences. In addition, all stimulation indexes were less than 3.0 and no dose response was present. Under the conditions of this study, H21951 was not a sensitizer. It was also concluded that a 25% concentration of HCA produced a positive sensitization response in mice. Work by: ______ t W l m .
