Flag: Follow up Dear Administrator, lion. Lcc M. Zeldin: On behalf of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., please see the attached request fora two-year Presidential exemption for the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Taconite Iron Ore Processing, EPA Docket No. EPA-HQ-OAR2017-0664, RIN 2060-AT05, 89 Fed. Reg. 16,408 (March 6, 2024). We are requesting a two-year Presidential exemption from the current compliance dates in accordance with CAA 1 12(i)(4) for the six Major Source Taconite Iron Ore Processing facilities that Cleveland-Cliffs operates in Minnesota and Michigan. Granting the extension will not result in any unacceptable risks to the public or the environment because EPA has determined that the source category presents an acceptable risk to human health with an ample margin of safety with the present controls, requirements, and limits already in effect.
