Mr. Irb H. Fooshee Executive Vice President Allied Chemical Corporation 61 Broadway New York, New York, 10006
Dear Irbj
Thanks for your letter and enclosure concerning B. T. McMillan's resignation from the MCA Food Drug and Cosmetic Chemicals Committee due to transfer to other duties within the Allied organization. We note that you have nominated Dr. William A. Knapp as Mr. McMillan's successor on the Committee.
i
Mr, McMillan has been quite active on the Committee and we will, of course, miss him. Nevertheless, we are aware of Dr. Knapp's extensive background in toxicological matters and agree that he will be in position to make substantial contribution to the Committee efforts. The nomination will be presented to the Board of Directors for confirmation and we will get in touch with you again after this action has been taken.
Sincerely yours, 1
