EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING New York, M. Y. June 30, 1933. A meeting of the Executive Committee was held at the Lawyers Club, New York City, on Friday, June 30, 1933, at 12:45 P.M. The Chairman called attention to the necessity of the Lead Industries Association organizing into divi sions representing the manifold products produced by the members, and to facilitate the prepartion of any code or k codes under the provision of the National Industrial Re covery Act, and presented the following suggested classi fication: 1. Lead Mining (Ores and Concentrates). 2. Lead Smelting and Refining (Pig Lead) 3. Lead Pigments a White Lead manufacture 1-Dry 2-In Oil b Lead Oxides 1-Red Lead 2-Lithaxge 3-Orange Mineral c Basic Lead Sulphate or Sublimed Blue Lead d Other Lead Salts 4. Metallic Lead Products a Rolled, extruded and cast 1-Pipe and Tubes 2-Sheet 3-Calking Lead 4-Cast Lead b Antimonial Lead c Solder d Lead Base Alloys e Other Alloys It was regularly moved, seconded and carried THAT the above classification, as presented by the President, be adopted and that the President appoint chairmen for each division to proceed with the organiza tion of each unit in a program of cooperation with the National Industrial Recovery Administration and to or ganize as many more sections as may be necessary to take care of the requirements of the members. Accordingly, the President appointed the fol lowing chairmen in.charge of each division with power of substitution: LIA02397 Mr. Clinton H. Crane - Mining Division Mr. F. H. Brownell - Smelting & Refining Division Mr. F. M. Carter - Lead Pigments Division Mr. W. C. Beschorman - Metallic Lead Products Division In view of the benefits which many members have been receiving from the services of the Lead Industries Association, from a contribution not commensurate with the cost, and, furthermore, to help defray the extraordinary expenses of the Association in its industrial recovery work, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried THAT the minimum fee for membership in the Lead Industries Association be established at $100.00 per year, effective July 1st, and that old members whose contribu tion is lower than $100.00 should be notified by the Sec retary that beginning January 1, 1S34 the minimum fee will be $100.00< Applications for membership having been received from the following comoanies, and each one qualifying, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried th&t they be ad mitted to membership and that the Secretary advise them of this action; ,.
