Sly Manufacturing Co. 246 Sagamore Drive Rochester 12 New York Dear Mr. Bond One point that I intended discussing with you during your last visit was the question of submitting plans and specifications as necessary to the State Department of Labor covering our proposed additional dust collector equipment For your information I have submitted an appropriation request to Management covering the 10,000 cfm unit as described in detail in your last Proposal 3hh I estimate that it will take approximately two weeks for this appropriation to be acted upon In making this re- metal work quest the actual labor and materials of installation which include the sheet necessary to complete the system will have to be covered by a further appropriation on my part My thought in handling it this way is to get the actual collector equipment especially the fan and motor in order at the earliest possible date During the intervening period while waiting delivery we will of course have to plan the actual duct installation in detail and make arrangements for its procurement locally Again with regard to State approval I believe that all the above plan ning will have to be accomplished and submitted to them On the ether hand inasmuch as the new collector is in a sense an expansion of exist- ing equipment there might be something to be said for presenting the information to the State as an accomplished fact I shall appreciate having your thoughts on the State approval angle for this project ; Very truly yours !
