Patterson SS13 19/24 51D SS-26 SS-13 AB ' 15/16 Tony Ozarchuk PMSB SHAC New Business Terry Grubbs spoke on fork lift trucks, driver training, retraining, certification, and warning lights. In 1972 a centralized training program was initiated, with T. A. Grubbs as the coordinator and trainer. This program was arbitrarily dis continued in 1975. The program is available, but each department does its own training and certification. There is no formal retraining program in the Stores Department. Chief clerks are responsible for monitoring performance of the drivers. All fork lift trucks in the plant except those in Department 35 have warning lights and backup warning devices. The warning lights and backup warning devices are required by plant standards when the vehicles are operated on the streets. The Department 35 trucks meet plant standards for in-warehouse use, but the committee questions the lack of plant consistency. The committee will review the fork lift truck issues--training, retraining, lights, and backup alarms in future meetings and make recommendations on same. Several items were brought up and assigned to individuals for resolution or in vestigation. a) Speed bumps in parking lot - Patterson b) Guard rail by guard station at main gate - Patterson c) Dept. 48/56 D1 S D2 column manway access - Lonsford d) Unchained cylinders in flatbed delivery trucks - Patterson e) Drum congestion at TBA - Garcia f) Welding restrictions in research maintenance shop when Queeny is docked - Lonsford Old Business The committee was to hear the report of Jack McCurley on the incandescent light vapor barriers.
