SAFETY ADVISORY COMMITTEE ITEMS -r Glass and Danner for McCullough------------------------------------------ :---------------------------------------- Sac met on Friday, November 12 with the following actions: Emergency Procedure Program Review a) SAC agrees that a spill log book is needed for EPP Center -- Glass responsible. b) The number of persons in the EPP room during an emergency will be limited to only those persons assigned. Alternates and visitors will be excluded. All conversation must be kept to a minimum. Arrange ments will be made to improve audibility of signals from the field. An outline of those persons needed and assignments will be proposed by Loss Prevention and Safety Department -- J. A. Glass responsible. Albritton's write-up concerning openings of gates was delayed until the next meeting. The proposed ''Addendum to Bomb Alert Procedure" was approved and placed on the agenda of the December Plant Manager's Safety Board meeting. SC 002865 LAM004073 PMSB Minutes - 11/17/76 Page 2 Life Support Systems bulletin was reviewed, approved and recommended for adoption by the PMSB. 3. SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING ACTION COMMITTEE -- H. M. Lacy Annual Inspection Wrap-up - Harold gave a brief summary of the results of the annual inspection. Status of P-Bulletins a. "Nitrogen Distribution" is in Printing. b. "Life Support System" was being typed and forwarded to SAC for approval. c. "Out-of'-Battery Limits for Permit" is ready to be circulated for approval. d. "Storage for Flammable Material" was in Printing. Toxicity Signs r The task force developed toxicity signs for use by plant maintenance and other groups. Final review is being made and the chart is expected to be issued by year end. Office Safety Committee Items Office Safety Committee proposed the purchase and distri bution of a booklet containing helpful suggestions for holiday safety. The Board approved the distribution of this booklet to be mailed with a cover memo from the plant manager. Action Requests Two action requests will be sent out by SHAC: one as a result of the "bull's eye" failure in Department 10 and the other for installation of appropriate handrails around cooling tower pump suction screen platform. 4. SAFETY CONTACT '76 PROGRAM -- J. A. Glass The status of the program was reviewed. The next steps to completion were outlined and detailed information concerning the next action steps were outlined. Packets of cards, printouts, and discussion materials will be distributed in time for development of action plans prior to the next meeting of the Board. Ethylene Meter Incident -- Fuller d. Lost Time Injury - Pumper-Gauger Fractured Wrist --.Danner 6. PLANT INSPECTION ACTION PLAN Members of the Board were asked to develop action plans and comments on the plant inspection that deal with their area of responsibility and send them to Harold Lacy for SHAC committee review. 7. UNIT/CRAFT REP. ELECTION RESULTS Unit/craft election results were complete. The new representatives will be given hard hats, and training of the new unit/craft rep-supervisor team has been scheduled for January 5. 8. UNIT/CRAFT REP. CONTACT SUPERVISOR APPRECIATION DINNER A barbeque was scheduled at the Christian Holiday House for the Appreciation Dinner on December 2. J. A. Glass 002867 LAM004075
