The Company's systems capability is being stressed in sales presentations to major defense and in dustrial customers. A high-speed industrial press with solid-state elec tronic control has been developed by Denison Engineer ing Division and the Hydrodynamics Research Center, and will go into production in 1961. The press offers faster operation than ever before achieved in a hydraulic press, combining high speed with the advantages of electro-hydraulic operation. Other products now' in late stages of development are a hydrostatic transmission for industrial, construction and farm equipment; improved airborne pumps for high speed aircraft, missiles and space vehicles; and electronic instruments of unusual accuracy and reliability. dynisco division This newly-formed Division manufac tures electro-mechanical transducers. Growth of Djnisco since its founding in 1953 has been impressive. Sales in 1958 were less than a quarter of a million dollars; in 1960 they reached three quarters of a million dollars. The founders, Dr. Y. T. Li and Dr. S. Y. Lee-brothers who are professors at the Massachusetts fnstitute of Technology--remain as president and vice president, respectively, of the Division. Dynisco's products are used to translate changing pressures, temperatures, stresses or other variables into electrical signals which are used to actuate measuring instruments orautomatic controls.
