Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 Air Enforcement Branch 61 Forsyth Street, SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303 INSPECTION REPORT Facility Inspected 1546 Riverstone Parkway Canton, Georgia 30114 Inspection Date: March 29, 2023 Facility Programmatic ID 3601515878 LAT: 34.2568 LON: -84.4640 Inspection Type Clean Air Act (CAA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) - Asbestos Inspector Pamela Storm Introduction An inspection pursuant to Section 114 of the CAA was conducted on March 29, 2023, at 1546 Riverstone Parkway in Canton, Georgia 30114 (the facility). The unannounced inspection was conducted by Pamela Storm who possesses EPA inspector credentials to conduct CAA NESHAP asbestos inspections. The facility was a former gas station that has been completely demolished. Demolition permit #D2107-004 was issued by the City of Canton with the contractor listed as Clyde Gilleland Contractor, Inc., P.O. Box 1810, Jasper, Georgia 30143 (phone: (706) 253-6026) on July 2, 2021. This permit lists the owner as Canton TM LLC, P.O. Box 207, Jasper, Georgia 30143. This permit states, "tear down store, remove canopy, remove gas pumps and underground fuel tanks." No work was occurring at the site during this inspection. Only a completely empty, dirt lot remained at the site at the time of this inspection. The purpose of this inspection was to determine compliance with the CAA NESHAP Asbestos Standard and the regulations promulgated at 40 CFR Part 61, Subpart M, for the demolition activities conducted pursuant to this permit. The EPA Region 4 CAA NESHAP asbestos program targets facilities for inspection located in the State of Georgia based on tips/complaints; permits issued on a local level; and demolition and/or renovation/abatement notices sent to the State. This inspection was conducted based on field observations by the inspector and the previously mentioned permit. Facility Information The facility is a former gas station that has been demolished. Inspection Inspection Upon arrival at the facility, no one was at the facility. The facility had been completely demolished with all demolition debris removed at the time of this inspection. Only a completely empty, dirt lot remained at the site.
