Forsthoffer 0-5 Bob Bohmler SS-9 Dan Nelson 3 3D The 3rd Quarter Safety & Housekeeping Inspection for Dept. 53 was conducted by the inspection team of Ray Forsthoffer, Bob Bohmler, Dan Nelson and Bob Hammann on August 13. The unit was given a "good" rating. The following items need to be corrected: Safety 1. Steam hose on second deck of purification area has incorrect tape. 2. Ladder not wired to scaffold in purification area. 3. Scaffold on third deck of purification area needs toe board on south side next to handrail. 4. Safety shower light is out - west of fire extinguisher 53-6. 5. Scott Air Pak SC-25 is down somewhat - might consider refilling it. 6. Drain cover in alleyway by 53R1-2 needs to be replaced. 7. On the north side on top of the switch condensers, the sign "Danger Overhead Obstruction" needs to be replaced. 8. Grommets missing on the water station on the south side over the switch condensers - approximately midway. 9. Question whether straps holding down trailer west of the control building are sufficient. Other portable buildings are tied down by cable. Housekeeping 1. Remove scaffold material by 53T6 and on top deck of purification structure. 2. Area around 53E100 needs some cleanup work prior to the Annual Inspection. 3. Storage area behind (east of) the smoke shack needs to be cleaned up. 4.
