Goat Dairymen's Assoc., et al. Dear Dr. Kehoe: The Law Offices of Thomas T. Anderson represent Cary French and her parents in reference to lead poisoning suffer ed by Cary French, who was born in January, 1975, and at the approx, age of three months was taken off of cow's milk and put on a formula of goat's milk, which she consumed for a period of approx, six months, at which time it was determin ed that Carrie French has suffered permanent brain damage, as a result of lead poisoning. Appropriate tests and analysis have been conducted on exemplary samples of Miracle Brand Condenced Goat's Milk and in each an exemplary high lead content was detected. In fact, each exemplary sample had an analysis of lead content in excess of the .5 parts per million and other tests and testimony have concluded that the lead contained in the goat's milk is the causation for Cary French's brain damage. I secured from the Food and Drug Administration via Freedom of Information Act, your article sent to them in reference to lead contamination in milk fed to infants, 1970 through 1973. The reason for this letter is to request your assistance in providing us with any information and/or research you may have pertaining to the lead levels in goat's milk products and any known injuries suffered as a result of the lead con tained in goat's milk prior to 1975 and/or tests and injuries reported after 1975.
