We are approaching you at request from our customer Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL), a global manufacturer of fluoropolymers and other fluorospecialties. You may be aware that GFL has recently announced a significant development, related to the substitution of PFAS based polymerisation aids for the manufacture of PTFE via the emulsion process, a process which has always been considered to require the use of fluorinated surfactants. Chemservice has provided support to GFL in evaluating the technical information that they have generated, related to the use of a 2965219 non-fluorinated polymersiation aid in the emulsion process to manufacture PTFE. Since we consider this a significant step f& way in ensuring a safer manufacture and use of fluoropolymers, we would like to ask you if it would be possible to schedule a conference call with you, in which we would provide more details on the case and the work that GFL has undertaken. Among other things, we would like to explore with you how this development could contribute to clarify the future of fluoropolymers within the upcoming restriction on PFAS under REACH. Please kindly let us know if it would be possible to arrange this conference call. Ideally, we would recommend to schedule this for the beginning of April, if you could give us an indication on your availability this would be much appreciated.
