We are committed to ensuring that the protection of people and the environment from harmful substances is atop priority. Replacing PFAS compounds with harmiess alternatives in the short `and medium term is the right way to go. However,i the field of energy storage, it will take more time before technically viable and marketable alternatives are available for ll applications. Although alternatives are already on the way and arelikely to be available in a few years' ime. At present, there sa lackofaccurate data on long-term performance, i.e. durabilty, and therefore on the real costs of alternative products. We would be gratefulforyour assessment in this regard. `We would ike to discuss the upcoming PFAS ban and the current status vith you, as we see a significant change andrisks for our industries and the competitiveness of EU Member States for these crucial energy transition technologies.
