Xehoe lettering Laboratory of Applied Physiology University' of Cincinnati College of medicineEden Avenue Cincinnati- 19 Ohio Dear Dr* Xehoe% I have now had the opportunity of going over the correspondence and opinions of the Editorial Board on Dr* Deichmann's paper, which was submitted to The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics* 7;hils I have not had the opportunity of reading the revised copy cf the manuscript I did read the first version and at that time stated that the paper contained interesting evidence which I would like, t&jjubiish^ but at the same time called attention to various shortcomings, in the presentation, some of which' were incorporated in Dr* Vtallace's letter of February 2nd to Dr. Deichmann. The difficulties have originated largely be cause cf the simultaneous work carried on with DDT in var ious laboratories, and the absence of any plan for their orderly publication. This difficulty is increased by the delays to which this paper has been subjected and, because of the amount of material which the printers now have on hand, publication could not take place until the end of the year* After utilizing any suggestions contained in Dr. "tallace's letter of April 3rd, which you think desirable, I shall be- very glad to resubmit the paper to the Editorial Board, if you so wish. Sincerely yours, 1 ctCcx McKeen Gattell RS 0020137
