Foreword
This section of the design report describes and specifies both the new product handling facilities and revisions to existing systems required by expansion project 64-12, Modifications and additions to be made are described in the report as follows:
Job I
Install van box 'unloading system to B-59> 60 and 6l.
Install transfer system from B-59> 60 and 6l to the capacity hoppers of three hot processing lines.
Job II
Relocate a diverter valve so that No. 2 conveying system can service both the north and south van box loading stations.
Relocate diverter so that No. 2 conveying system services the "A" bagger rather than the Vredomatic packer.
Job III
Revise No. 2 blower suction and discharge piping to permit (a) unloading Poly "A" resin through isolated header and (b) discharging to bulk bins B-l6 thru B-39.
Redirect hot processing make from bins B-34 thru B-39 to bins B-50 thru B-54 and. B-56 thru B-6l.
Redirect hot processing make from B-32 and B-33 to B-24 and B-25.
Job IV
Redirect 5 direct make lines to P-1 thru P-4 and P-7 to bins B-5 thru B-9*
Redirect existing direct make line from bin P-5 to 3" switch station 2nd level Bldg. 101.
Job V
Add 6 direct make lines from product room to bins B-34 thru B-39*
Redirect product make lines from B-24 and B-25 to B-32 and B-33.

Equipment List

All new equipment and piping purchased and installed on this job is to be charged to 930-6547 All equipment and piping relocated to be charged to 09^13-09-29950. All new piping is to be sandblasted Internally before installation.
v, 6547E-6101 - BLOWER (None Required)
1) Relocate existing blower (with drive motor property number 6213-1713) along with__Its starter^.fflotQr.&Pd..filter to the area under bins B-58 thru B-ol. Blower and its associated equipment is now mounted on a dolly.
2) Route V schedule 40 aluminum discharge pipe from blower through an existing trench under railroad tracks to supply air to fluidizer (Property Number 6336-OI7).
3) Supply 440 power to blower motor.
PEM2-1302 - BLOWER (None Required)
Existing Roots Connersville blower to remain at its present location.
Replace 4" discharge piping with 6" piping C-6106. Use Morris couplings or similar type on this line.
Remove 5.8" PE sheave from motor and replace with sheave of following size:
6.1 Pitch Diameter 4b Groove 1 5/8" Bore 3/l6 x 3/8 KS Taper Lock
Field check existing pulleys on blower and motor to confirm that existing pulley sizes are 20 and 5.8 PD.

FLUIDIZES VALVE (None Required)
1) Relocate existing fluidizer valve (Property No. 6336-017) along with its motor and controls to a fixed position at van box unloading station.
2) Fluidizer valve is to be located above the position nov occupied by the vest 8" airveyor piping which is nov serving the van box unloading station and vhich is to be removed.
3) Fluidizer valve to be located along with its adapter piece 65^7E-6l02A in such a position and at such an elevation to provide a 45 angle for simultaneous flow from two van box connections during the unloading process.
4) Supply 44C power to fluidizer.
6547E-6102A - ADAPTER PIECE (l Required)
Stainless Bteel or aluminum adapter piece permanently attached to fluidizer 6547E-6102 with two inlet connections to accommodate flexible hose connections to two van box unloading ports.
6547E-6102B 6547E-6102C - FLEXIBLE HOSES (Two Required - Not Shown on Flow Diagram)
Three or 4" flexible hoses to connect from two unloading nozzles on van box to two positions on adapter piece 6547E-6102A.
Flexible hoses to be fabricated in accordance with instructions from operating personnel and material stocked in plant stores.

65^7E-6l02D - FLEXIBLE HOSE (One Required)
To connect 3" schedule J+O aluminum piping C-6102 to any one of three lines (C-6103, C-6104 or C-6105) at switch station located south of bins 60 and 6l.
3" flexible hoses to be fabricated in accordance with instructions from operating personnel and from material stocked in plant stores.
--> 65V7E-6IO3 - ROTARY VALVE, PORTABLE (None Required)
! l) Relocate existing rotary valve 6336-20 along with its drive " ' motor under bins B-59> B-60 and B-6l.
2) Existing rotary valve and motor is now mounted on a dolly and in its new service will continue to be portable for hook up to any of the 3 bins B-59> B-60 and B-6l.
, 3) Supply MtO plug-in power to rotary valve. M 8" conveying lines now servicing B-59> 60 and 6l are to be moved if necessary to make possible the easy attachment of rotary valve to bins.
65V7E-6103A - ADAPTER PIECE (One Required)
One adapter piece permanently mounted on rotary valve 65V7E-6103 to connect to slide gate valves serving bins E-59, B-60 and B-6l. Fabricate from aluminum or stainless steel.

FLEXIBLE HOSE (One Required)
One 6" flexible hose to connect to 6" discharge pipe of existing blover REM2-1302 and tc inlet air line under rotary valve 6547E-6103. Flexible hose to be of such length to allow hook up of rotary valve to blover discharge when the rotary valve is connected to bins B-59, B-60 or B-6l. Hose to be fabricated per instructions from operating personnel and from material stocked in plant stores. Line C-6l0o to terminate in a central location to minimize length of 6547Z-6105B.
6^'-7E-6lC3C - FLEXIBLE HOSE (One Required)
One 4" flexible hose to connect to 4" outlet from rotary valve o547S-6l03 to 4" line C-6107. Flexible hose to be of sufficient length to permit connection of rotary valve to C-6107 when rotary valve is attached to either bins B-59, B-60 or B-6l. Hose to be fabricated per instruction from the operations department and from material in plant stores. Line C-0IO7 to be located in such a position to minimize the length of 6547E-6103C.
6547E-6104, 6105 - DIVERTER VALVES (Two Required - shown on SK-80520)
Two position, 4" tunnel type aluminum or stainless steel diverter valve with pneumatic operators.______________

6547E-6106 - CONTROL SYSTEM
To automatically control the conveying of polyethylene from either bins B-59, B-60, or B-6l to one of three hot processing unit capacity hoppers (Compartment 2). System to operate in the following manner:
1) Physically connect rotary valve 6547E-6103 to either bins -59, B-60 or B-6l and connect flexible hoses from 65^7E-6l03 to C-6106 and C-6107.
2)x Operate switch, mounted on No. 3 hot processing control panel, f' to select the discharge point of resin.

/ Selector switch to select the No. 2 chamber of the capacity ^ hopper servicing eitner the No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 hot processing
units.
a) In position 1, diverter valves 6547E-6104 and 6105 are to be in the straignt thru position to channel resin to No. 1 hot processing capacity hopper.
b) In position 2, diverter valve 6547E-6104 is to be in the straight thru position and 6547E-6105 is to be in position to direct resin flow to No. 2 hot processing capacity hopper.
c) In position 3, diverter valve 6547E-6104 is to divert resin directly into the No. 3 hot processing unit capacity hopper.
3) Blower PEM2-1302 and rotary valve 6547E-6103 to have manual start
and stop buttons on hot processing scale panel near selector

4) When blower PEM2-1302 and rotary valve .switches are in automatic
position, the conveying system shall operate in the following
manner:
a) When the low level bindicator on the selected hot processing capacity hopper is operated indicating a low level, blower PEM2-1302 is to start.
b) After a 30 second delay rotary valve 6547E-6103 starts and resin is conveyed to the selected capacity hopper.
c) When high level bindicator on capacity hopper is actuated, indicating a high level in the selected hopper, rotary valve 6547E-6103 stops.
d) After a 30 second delay blower PEM2-1302 automatically stops.
e) Blower PEM2-1302 and rotary valve 6547E-6103 are to have disconnect switches at their physical location for safety purposes.

a) Unloading Poly "A" resin through isolated header. b) Discharging to B-l6 thru B-39-
SK-80520
1) Diverter valve 6336-1027 is now located in the No. 2 conveying system piping to the Vredomatic packer. Its purpose was to divert the flow to the old (obsolete) corrugated box loading station. Piping from the diverter to old corrugated box loading station is disconnected and blinded off.
Remove diverter valve 6336-1027 and the old piping lead to the old corrugated box loading station. Install spool to replace the diverter valve in No. 2 conveyor piping.
2) Install diverter valve 6336-1027 in discharge line from No. 2
conveying system at van box loading station. No. 2 conveying
system now services only the north loading spot. Diverter valve
in its new position is to make possible loading to either the
north or south loading spot.

4) Install sample tube for the south loading spot similar to existing samples on north loading Bpot.
5) Remove diverter in No. 2 conveying line now servicing the Vredomatic packer. Install Bpool. Relocate diverter to a position east of No. 3 cyclone (on "A" grade bagger), in the No. 2 conveying system discharge line - connect diverter to No. 3 cyclone.
6) Sandblast internal surfaces of all new pipe install
7) Provide one new van box loading spout item 654-7-6201.
8) Make minor rearrangements in suction and discharge piping of the No. 2 conveying system at the direction of operating personnel.

Job III
Redirect Hot Processing Make From Bins B-34 thru B-39 to Bins B-43 thru B-59
Redirect Hot Processing Make From B-32 and B-35 to B-24 and B-25
SK-80520
1) Disconnect and remove 4" conveying piping from bins B-34 thru B-39 to point of exit on high roof of Bldg. 101.
2) Inspect, clean or sandblast internal walls of this piping if required.
3) Relocate piping removed to form 11 conveying lines from the switch stations in hot processing to bins B-48 thru B-5S.
a) Piping shall extend from switching station south of No. 3 hot processing system to bins B-49, B-51, B-53> B-55> and B-57-
b) Piping shall extend from switching station south of No. 2 hot processing lines to bins B-48, B-50, B-52, B-54, B-56 and B-58.
4) Redirect hot processing make from B-32 and B-33 to B-24 and 3-25.
5) Label all lines at switching stations with proper destination description.
6) Blank off and leave intact the 4" entry nozzles into bins B-32 thru B-39.
7) Install new conveying piping bridge to handle-additional piping. Locate new bridge to minimize length of conveying line.
8) Charge all work to relocate existing piping to 09413-09-29950.
9) Charge all cost of purchase and installation of any new piping to 930-6547.

Redirect 5 Direct Make Lines from P-1 thru P-4 and P-7 to B-5 thru B-9
Redirect Existing Direct Make Line from Bin P-5 to 3" Switch Station 2nd Level Bldg. 101
SK-80521
Disconnect and remove existing direct make lines to bins P-1 thru P-5 and to P-7 from just inside Bldg. 101 on 3rd level.
Use piping removed and new pipe to redirect the existing make lines P-1 thru P-4 and P-7 to B-5 thru B-9
nr FrUse minimum number of bends and select shortest pm-t.-i route.
b) Connect extensions to B-5 thru B-9 into small cyclone on top of each bin B-5 thru B-9.
Add piping to redirect the direct make line previously servicing P-5 to the 3" switch station on second level of Bldg. 101.
Charge the purchase and installation of all new piping, fittings and equipment required for this job to 930-6547-
Charge all work to remove and relocate existing piping to 03711-9-28945.
3" conveying piping servicing B-l thru B-15 (excluding B-4) from ground level can be removed and used for this Job.
Sandblast the internal walls of all new piping installed. Old piping removed to be inspected and sandblasted if necessary.
Label all lines in product room switch station with proper bin or destination description.

Add 6 Direct Make Lines From Product Room to Bins B-3^ thru B-39
Redirect Product Make Lines from B-2k and -25 to B-32 and B-33
SK-60522
1) Six new lines are to be installed paralleling existing direct make lines.
2) Revise supports as required to handle additional piping.
3) New piping C-65OI thru C-6506 is to terminate in product room switch station bo that connection to existing flexible hoses can be made.
4) Existing conveying line to B-2^ and B-25 are to be disconnected from B-24 and B-25 and extended to bins B-32 and B-33. Blank off 3" inlets to B-2^ and B-25.
5) Equip ends of new piping with Evertight or Kamlock quick coupling ends to mate coupling halves on existing flexible hose.
6) All work on this job to be charged to 93O-65V7.
7) Sandblast the internal walls of all piping installed.
8) Label all lines with proper bin number at switching station.
