Board of Directors will be primarily devoted to a review and discussion of 1 the regulatory initiatives of OSBA, BPA and Asbestos Information Associations response thereto. This will be the associations last meeting of the directors before the congressional hearings on the proposed revision to OSHA's asbestos standards are likely to occur. The thrust of this meeting Bh'ould give us a fairly good handle on where OSKA and EPA are headed. On March 13th, we will have a senior spokeman from the Chemical Manufacturers Association address the group. This will . be Dr. Fred Hoerger, Pb - D . , Director, Regulatory and Leg- . islative Issues, The Dow Chemical Company. Since asbestos is the first substance planned for comprehensive regulation under Section VI of the Toxic Substances Control Act of SPA, the chemical manufacturers have a direct Interest in the rule making process for Asbestos and this exchange of information should be mutually beneficial to all of us.
