Rss Unloading of fiber at Owentovn Plant
Dear Mr. McMillani
During negotiations recently concluded with respect to the above plant there
\rare several discussions with regard to the unloading of this fiber at the
plant, with the Company taking the position on May 29, 1964 that the employees ray elect to unload fiber when not otherwise busy or may go home and the Comp* any would get Manpower to unload the fiber.
We advised yon that our preference was to let Manpower do this unloading.
This matter was again the subject of discussion during our final day of negotia* tions on July 21, 1964, and you in answer to a direct question by Mr. Mustek advis d that all of the department would not need to go hewe in the event that
there was no other work for the employees In the department, as the clerk was needed along with the man to take production off the line and store it in the warehouse, and there were no objections voiced to this proceedure.
will you please confirm that this correctly reflects the proceedure agreed to during negotiations for the unloading of this fiber, end return to me one of vjo attached copies, saving one for Mr* Kelley, Mr. Bass, and Mr. Kuslok.
Tours very truly.

Dear Mac
In oar Tarioua talks with Dial Murphy and the Workmens' Conraittee, a nade some definite statements relative to the repair vork and improvements planned for the Tyler plant.
Mick Qnkovic reported that M'trphy had indicated he had been told we had done very little in the vay of improving working conditions and r pairing the equipment. This, of course, is not the case.
Will you prepare a list of all the improvement* yon have made, b th in working conditions and in repair of equipment. Please send copies to both Byrl Stout and to me. If possible, please list costs of the work done. Ve will need this as a part of our pre-negotiation data.
If you could have this for us early next week, it will be very much appreciated.
Yours truly.
G. L. Kelley
